Social Media Change Assignment

Social media has changed communication significantly throughout the past ten- twenty years. There are so many different ways to stay connected with people that we have encountered through social media. For example, in college, if you meet someone at a party that you instantly connect with, you get their phone number or snapchat. Any social media source that helps you stay connected to that person. The difference between our parents’ college experience and our are crazy different due to social media.
I cannot even imagine college without social media. It is what keeps me connected to people I’ve met through campus, and how I stay up to date on what is happening around the world. I don’t watch the news, instead I follow news sources that give me quick blips about what is going on in the world. Instead of writing letters to our family members across the country, we write a message on facebook. There are fast differences between the way we communicate now then we did then.

    Nice work, I think formatting may be a bit messed up. May want to take a look at it. It is showing only 2 lines of text but they are really long lines.

Case Reflection 10: Miracle Mattress Twin Tower Sale

When watching the commercial, my mouth was wide open in shock the entire time. I can't believe that a company would try to market and benefit off of something so terrible that happened to our country. There are so many things that are wrong with this concept and commercial, that I couldn't even imagine why the company made this decision. The bottom line is that it is terrible what Miracle Mattress did. I think that Miracle Mattress was trying to increase their sales and profits, and with the constant need to market and advertise, they chose 9/11. Reflection on Social Media Case 1: McDStories

The case of the Mcdonald’s stories were both terrifying and hilarious to read about. When reading the case summary, I could see where the executives of the multibillion dollar company was coming from when coming up with the infamous hashtag. The thing about Mcdonald's is that there are so many of them, and you can’t always rely on their food or service. Horror stories like finding hairs in their mcdoubles, or fingernails in their bigmac, I could only imagine what was going through corporates heads. What was supposed to be a beneficial and promotional hashtag turned into the decrease in sales and profit of the fast food company.
